Kearney, who became the world’s first openly-gay strongman athlete in 2014, and goes by the self-descriptive moniker of “World’s Strongest Gay”, has said he is proud to partner with a company like Ziggy’s Naturals due to the company’s advocacy work and support for the LGBTQ+ community. He was equally motivated by Ziggy’s commitment to offering the best-in-class all-natural CBD-based products that have shown efficacy in uplifting mood, easing stress, supporting focus and targeting anxiety and irritability.
“CBD helps to relax me and reduce inflammation from my workouts,” says Kearney. “It’s a fantastic recovery tool for me as a professional athlete.”
When asked why he decided to partner with Ziggy’s Naturals, Kearney noted the company’s co-founder, Jordyn Pollack, who identifies as a transgender man, combined with the work that Ziggy’s Naturals has done to help the LGBTQ+ community and the fantastic products they produce, made it easy as a synergistic alliance.

His family, friends, and fiancé Ziggy – who the company is named for – all accepted his transition and began referring to Jordyn by his preferred pronouns.
But there are millions like Pollack and Kearney who identify as LGBTQ+ that did not, or do not have a similar support system when they come out. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anywhere from 30-60% of LGBTQ+ people experience feelings of anxiety and/or depression at some point in their lives – a statistic that is nearly doubled compared to their gender-conforming or straight counterparts, and is even higher in LGBTQ+ minorities.
